Our working dogs are as much part of the working farm as much as us humans. We could not do it without them! Our working dogs are raised as part of our family with much love.
Our Anatolian Shepherd Dogs, Ayla and Veli, are Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs). Their job is to protect our livestock from the local coyote population and other threats. Another function of these dogs is to keep deer out of the pastures as white tail deer carry certain parasites which are harmful to our goats and sheep.
Cora is our rescue Border Collie and her job is to herd. She travels with us between farms on a daily basis and moves our sheep and goats to pastures in the mornings and to shelters in the evenings.
